"The conference was setup as a launch party for 40 Internet companies. I was expecting to see 40 never heard of companies but I found that I already knew about a few of them. The first to present was Powerset, I have been hearing about this company for a while, this is a new search engine company that hopes to solve a semantic search problem. They claim that there is no good way to understand a complex human query. For example I should be able to ask a computer, “What is the best rated Pizza place with in 2 miles of my current location?”..."
