It is a banner year for Canadian domains. For the second time this year, the record for highest priced .ca domain sold has been broken.
On March 25, 2008 the record was broken with the sale of Banks.ca for $41,000 at a "TBR auction" - an auction for domains that have expired. This domain appears to have previously been owned by a microbrewery that closed and originally to have been registered to distribute Banks Beer of Guyana in Canada.
Today, in fierce bidding at another TBR auction, the domain Emplois.ca closed for $56,200.
