$369 for the domain name Newsvine.com?? I think today the site is worth tens of millions! If he was up with bonkerstwo at Snapnames today, he would't stand a chance ;)

With that kinds of prices they are paying, how fast do they break even? Does anyone know what is their return on investment? Thanks.

dnZoom's service is awesome, NameMedia is a big company. What a perfect combination. This will definitely benefit both parties in the long term. Congrats!

This is an area we are still getting to grips with. We don't want to under price domains, but don't want to price people out of showing interest. Some good advice in here.

Oh no, I'm just a visionary domainer ... D.Gelernter is the real thing ... a technology visionary that has seen his past ideas implemented allover, especially in parallel computing. Just research Gelernter around and you'll realize that he's very serious in applying his vision too.

Hi Crinux...U Prof Gelernter himself? I think someone is going to change the history of mankind somewhere in the future soon. :)

Whypark is quite good. I am using it for some of my good domains and it is definitely better than just parking them. At least now my domains have links and indexed in major SE. Just remember to write a few related articles or hire some ghost-writers to do it (market rate is $15-$20 for 600-800 word articles)and include them in the whypark pages. Then submit these articles to as many article sites.
You will be happy to see your Adsense earnings fly, and u dont have to share the earnings with the parking sites.

This is an excellent write-up. Newbies def will want to monitor Schilling's blog and Sahar Sarid's blog... Also hang out in NamePros.com and DNForum.com

My take is this...
Try not to just put "make offer" as the price for your domain if you are seriously planning to sell them. I think domains with "make offer" do not get as much offers as any with a price. Do your research first in the forums and get appraisals from your fellow forumers. Once you are more or less certain of a price, list the names at SEDO..WITH a price about 25% less than the market price, just to hook a bid. Once someone bites, put it up for auction and market like hell! I have gotten some really good sales with such strategy. Good luck!

Very nice ideas and these take lots of patience and perserverence. My experience is not to park the good names but develop them, at least a little. If you dont have the time, sign up for Whypark.com and use their service. Its better than just parking the good domains. At least the domains will be better indexed in the search engines.
