How do I register for an account?

1. Click 'Register' on top of the home page and fill in the simple form and verify your username & email address by clicking the 'Verify' button.
2. Once verified, click the 'Create User' to create your account and enter the validation code.
3. Click 'Continue' and your account are successfully created! No more hassle, no more verification via email!

How do I view stories?

Just choose from these few options:-
1. Use our 'Search' function located at the top right corner of every page.
2. Click one of our category links at the right side panel of every page and browse the latest links for that topic. You can also sort the news according to your preference.
3. Click on the 'Published News' or 'Upcoming News' section.
4. Use the Tag Cloud link.

How do I vote or bury a story?

Login to your account (you need to register first!) and choose any links from 'Upcoming News' or the 'Published News' section. Simply click on the 'Vote It' button on the link that you like or click 'Bury' if you think the news deserves it.
If the article that you voted for received enough votes, the article will be transferred from the 'Upcoming News' section to the main page of DNHour where more viewers will read the story.
If the article is from the 'Published News' section, it will make it to the 'Top Today' section at the main page. The exposure of each story is in your decision. You vote for which story to be upgraded to the main homepage or bury it into oblivion. Unfortunately, you can only vote or bury news once

How do I submit a story?

Use the "Submit A Story" tab, on the top of every page. You will have to enter the article's URL, write a simple description and brief summary, choose the appropriate category and press 'Submit'.
You can then review the posting before the final submission. Once you are fully satisfied, you can finalize your submission. Your story will be queued within the 'Upcoming News' section and if it gathers enough votes from members, it will be transferred to the homepage.

How do I vote or bury a story?

A signature file is a line of statement that you display, everytime you post a comment for a story. This signature file is very important for you to tell the readers of your comments about yourself. Since the signature file is HTMl enabled, you can add a link on it so readers can clickthrough to your blog or website. This will automatically create a valuable backlink to your site, improving your search engine ranking and driving free traffic to you. You can also put a link to your domain name portfolio to sell you names!

How do I add a signature file to my profile?

Firstly, you will have to register a FREE member account. Once done, just go to your member's area and edit your profile. You can submit your signature file over there. Please remember that the signature is limited to ONLY 90 characters of text.

What is an avatar and how do I add it to my profile?

Dnhour.com is a "social networking" site, so an avatar is very important for members to upload a photo of themselves. If you are shy about showing the world what you look like, you can always put in a picture of anything. Please remember that any obscene pictures will result in a ban.
You can add a picture by logging into your member's account and edit your profile. Once in your profile area, just upload the picture and DNHour will automatically resize it for you. Our system will not accept anything larger than 20kb, so please resize the picture before you upload it.

How do I post news from Dnhour.com to my blog?

You can copy and paste the item link directly into your blog. Also, do remember to 'Add DNHour.com to Your Site' (located on top, right side of the page).

How to use the 'Add DNHour.com to Your Site' link?

By clicking the 'Add DNHour.com to Your Site', you will be directed to a summary page where all the instructions and codes are available. Follow the instructions and choose from our range of button designs and you will have our nifty logo on your site.
You can also put the DNHour's Vote button directly into your blog entry or article in your website. If your site visitors think that your content is good and it should be shared with the rest of the world, they can just click on the "Vote It" button and submit the story at DNHour.
This will automatically drive FREE targeted traffic to your story and create a valuable banklink to it. Because DNHour is updated practically every hour, the search engines crawls the site everyday and your story will be immediately indexed too!

How do I interact with other members?

You can initiate discussions by leaving comments using our 'Discuss' link below each of every story.
Now, with our new 'Send PM' feature, you can instantly send private messages to any members at DNHour.om. You can even add a member to your friend list by choosing 'Add member to my friends'. This way, you will be able to build a highly responsive and targeted "social network" of friends from the domain name industry. Talk about list building!

How to send news found at DNHour to my friends?

Just click on the 'Tell a friend' link below each story and fill in your friend's email address. Write a simple message (if you wish) and press 'Submit'. Your friend will receive the notification almost instantly.

Can I save a particular story?

Yes! Of course you can!
Just login to your account, select a story that you would like to save, click on the 'Save' link and it will automatically be saved into your account. By clicking 'Go to Saved' you can view all the news/stories that you have saved earlier. You can remove the saved stories by clicking the 'Remove' link.

What is a 'Tag Cloud'?

'Tag Cloud' is an area where all the tags related to each keywords of the story is compiled. The bigger the tag, the more stories have been submitted related to the keyword. So, use our 'Tag Cloud' to check out which topics or keywords that have the most news.

What is a 'Live' area?

This is a place where you can see all the site activities, real-time basis. Here you can see the actual time and the actions of all the users.
