Godaddy poster girl Danica Patrick shows she is not a one-trick pony
She made it on various magazine covers, she made it on Godaddy’s front page and now she has won her first Indy 500 race.
In 2005 Danica Patrick became only the fourth woman to ever race in the Indy 500. She finished fourth and took rookie of the year honours.
She also holds the distinction of being the first female driver to ever lead the race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
As her race car sped toward the finish line today at the Japan 300 in Motegi, she also entered a place in the record books as the first female driver in Indy car history to win an Indy 500 race!
“Boys, move over. The lady is coming through. Danica Patrick wins the Twin Motegi,” the announcer said as she crossed the finish line.
This was Danica’s 1st win in her 50th outing in the Indy 500 competition.
Big congrats to her!
