Some things in life are just a bad idea…like the Pizza Hut “Double Roll” available in Japan. “Cheese, soy beans, corn, pepperoni, mushrooms, mini-hot dogs and hamburger patties, and your choice of ketchup or maple syrup topping” anyone?

So I ask, is auctioning a domain name like Pizza.net through GoDaddy.com a bad idea? Only time will tell. Six days, 1 hour and 16 or so minutes from the time this post goes up to be somewhat exact. Billed as “The ORIGINAL Pizza Search Engine” that includes 60k pizza restaurants, Pizza.net is now going for $10, 106, a fraction of the $2.6 million Pizza.com just sold for at GreatDomains.

The reserve has not been met yet but why the owner chose this venue to sell such a great name, even if it is just a “.net,” is a mystery to me. It’s privately registered so we can’t contact the owner. I came across the auction just browsing the GoDaddy action on TDNAM.com.
