On Oct. 21, 2008, ICANN posted 4 documents that will help explain different issues involving the upcoming new gTLD applications they will begin accepting in Q2 2009. The documents are called the New gTLD Program Explanatory Memorandums and cover issues like string contention, DNS stability, geographic applications and rights infringement.
